Golden Jubilee Mass – Father Roy Oggero

I had the distinct honor to photograph a celebratory mass honoring 50 years as a priest for one of the most amazing humans I have ever met.  Father Roy has been apart of our family for 20 years.  He was the celebrant at both my sisters and my wedding in addition to baptizing the twins.

His constant call upon the Holy Spirit definitely lingers around and you will feel it.  Along with his love and devotion to Christ, he loves each and every one of his friends, family and those who have been blessed to know him in our community.

It was an honor to be there to help him celebrate and to photograph the event along with hundreds of others who attend the mass.

Father Roy Oggero was the priest at St. BASIL’S in Angleton, Texas when I first became interested in the Catholic Church. I have never known a more gentle and kind person. It is good to know he has lived a long life. I would love to know if he is among the angels and saints or if he is still with the living. Glenda JohnsonReplyCancel
