Urban Vintage Market

Well it is certainly due time for me to start sharing some of my favorite local places with you.  It still never ceases to amaze me how wonderful it is to live here in the Upstate.  Not only do we have a great terrain, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, great weather but we also have amazing local shops which I hope to share more with you in the future.  This past summer when I went on my heirloom gardening road trip in the sweet town of Little Mountain, SC I also checked out the local antique mall, it’s kinda hard to miss as this place is huge both indoors and out.

This will probably go down as one of the best shopping trips for me ever, not knowing what I would find among all the treasures booth after booth of great finds I met my new friend Amy of Urban Vintage Market.  She is this crazy talented lady who refinishes old furniture into these adorable shabby chic pieces that are hard to resist.

In addition to her furniture she also sells the best antique kitchen acessories I have ever seen! As of last Friday, most of these were still in her shop.  If you see something you would like….I’m sure she would be happy to ship it to you 🙂

I love old tool boxes like this, you can do so much with them!  We have one that I have organized the boys art supplies in.

So if you are traveling toward Columbia from the Greenville area on 26 you must stop in the sweet town of Little Mountain and check out this great shop.  There is something for the guys in the basement too…
